Shoethority is an Amazon affiliate community which helps people find the best shoes for them. Using the TASS 3.0 framework, Obridge completely re-designed and developed their website to attract more users. Each component on the website was developed keeping in mind the best SEO practices and optimized for fast loading. Amazon affiliate links are dynamically generated on the website for products, and product images along with it's prices are fetched as JSON data from Amazon using the API. This data is then used to compare different shoes of same category and help users quickly select the best one for them.

Our engineers started by generating cache (seperate for mobile devices), moving on to file optimization which includes techniques such as minifying CSS, JS files, optimizing css delivery and loading javascript deferred which eliminates render-blocking JS on your site and can improve load time.
The team also made use of other tricks such as lazy-loading images and media, compressing images (using WEBP format), pre-loading and most importantly cleaning up the database combined with much more. All of this resulted in an A grade on GT Metrix and a 98 score on google page speed insights.
